KAWS. NEW FICTION is a unique collaboration between acclaimed artist KAWS, Serpentine Galleries, digital art platform Acute Art and online video game phenomenon Fortnite: NEW FICTION bridges the gap between the physical and virtual worlds, showcasing KAWS' artworks as they have never been seen before. This unique book follows the iconic KAWS character on her journey through the exhibition's paintings, sculptures and site-specific additional artworks, which are viewed via augmented reality (visible in the exhibition via a special AR app) and the virtual recreation of the physical gallery, which can be seen simultaneously in Fortnite. KAWS: NEW FICTION is a celebration of the unprecedented exhibition and creative impact of KAWS as experienced in physical, virtual and augmented realities.
