25 years after its founding, Medicom Toy is the most important brand worldwide for collectible figures and design objects. The edition of each series is always very small, which only increases the hype around the figures. Some series are sold in blind boxes, which means that the buyer does not know what is inside the package. This creates a lively exchange between fans of the figures, it is buying, selling and swapping. Initially, the designs and motifs were influenced by Japanese manga, but nowadays the entire mainstream pop culture has been immortalized with designs on Be@rbricks.

Kubrick
Kubrick is a neologism made from the Japanese word "Kyu", meaning nine, and the English word "brick", which is meant to indicate the similarity to Lego figures. The figure consists of nine movable parts: Head, torso, hips, arms, legs and hands.

Be@rbrick
In May 2001, a new figure was added to the product line. The head of a bear was added to the basic Kubrick figure, which was intended to attract new customers. This decision seems to be another marketing gag, but in reality the teddy bear celebrated its 100th birthday a year earlier and was thus the inspiration for the design. In the past 20 years, there have been countless versions and of the cute figures. Collectors around the world immediately took the design to their hearts and the figures with legendary motifs and collaborations found lurid sales. The Medicom Toy Bearbricks come in 6 different sizes, which are indicated in percentages. For example, the figure labeled 100% is 70mm tall, 400% is 280mm and the largest of them all at 1000%, measures 700mm. The Be@rbricks are mostly made of plastic, but there are also versions made of wood or glass.

The Be@rbricks are always produced in different series and the number of different motifs varies depending on the type. Currently there are nine different types of Be@arbricks, for example: "Jellybean", a transparent figure, "SF" with science fiction motifs or "Animal", a figure that looks like an animal. The range of collaborations extends from musicians to fashion designers, from artists to lifestyle brands.
