The writer KR grew up surrounded by graffiti writers, skaters and punks. In the late 80s, graffiti almost disappeared from trains and from then on was seen more and more on streets and highways. Due to the lack of suitable markers and decent inks, a do-it-yourself ethos developed, which also took over KR. The markers were homemade and the inks were mixed by the artists themselves. After a few years in San Francisco, KR returned to his hometown of New York, carrying his special ink, KR Ink. It wasn't long before KR's signature style could be seen on the streets of New York. The creative project became a business, with many people wanting to buy Krink's hand-filled ink to leave their tags on walls as well. Today, Krink is still made in Brooklyn and shipped all over the world. The product line has grown over the years and offers a number of different markers and inks. The trademark paint-dripping aesthetic has found its way into the world of art and street-art, and Krink has played a big part in that. In our online shop you can of course get various markers and ink from Krink and also the Krink Sprayer, for large-scale work.
