Mike Graham is an avid sport climber himself since the 70s and belongs to the group of "Stonemasters". This group of friends created the style of "big wall climbing” and climbed peaks without the help of ropes or harnesses. In the late 1970s, Graham developed the Portaledge, a portable tent that could be mounted on rock walls to spend the night in. Unable to find suitable shorts for climbing, Graham simply developed them himself. These shorts have special features, from a crotch gusset to an integrated belt, and has changed the outdoor clothing market forever. The name Gramicci is Graham's nickname, he got this from his Stonemasters buddies, so it is also the appropriate name for his own brand. For Gramicci's clothing, functionality is paramount. Countless patents and inventions can be traced back to Gramicci's outdoor clothing, from which other brands have also benefited. Like many garments that were originally invented for outdoor activities, Gramicci's pieces are stylish and useful even outside the mountains.
