What does Wtaps mean? This is a military term and it means “the second shot always finishes it.” Since it was Tet’s second brand, the name fit perfectly. Like some other well-known Japanese brands, Wtaps has its roots in Ura-Harajuku, a district of Tokyo known for its fashion stores. From there the brand started its triumphal procession and made a name for itself in the streetwear community far beyond the borders of Tokyo. For more than 20 years Wtaps has held on to its formula for success: to produce high quality clothing, which is only available in a few stores worldwide. The designs are mainly inspired by the military, outdoor and workwear, which is reflected in the Mill Collection's primary colors olive and black. A classic is the newly designed M-65 Army jacket, but hoodies, T-Shirts or beanies are also part of the repertoire. All pieces from the collection are comfortably cut, have a pleasant fit and are sometimes a little oversized. True to the motto: Placing things where they should be, the clothes from Wtaps don't need a lot of frills, everything is well thought out. Collaborations with Supreme, Stüssy or Vans have established the status of Wtaps in the fashion scene.
