Converse Chuck Taylor - From basketball shoe to trendy sneaker
Converse produced the first basketball shoes from canvas in 1917 and the rubber sole used brought the typical squeak on the gym floor into play. In 1920, the model was renamed Converse All Star and when basketball became Olympic in 1936, the entire USA team wore the model and won the gold medal with it. The most famous feature of the All Star is probably the rubber patch placed on the inside to protect the ankles. An idea of basketball player Chuck Taylor, who no longer wanted to put up with the pain on his feet and allegedly contacted Converse in 1921 to give them suggestions on how to make a basketball shoe better. Converse and Taylor worked together from then on, even more, from 1923 onwards his autograph was used as an additional feature on the star patch. From now on there was the "Chuck Taylor", also known as Converse Chucks, of which about 500 different versions exist until today. Over 1 billion pairs of the Chucks have been sold, which is a testament to how popular Converse's sneaker is. From the skateboarding scene to punk musicians, everyone could relate to the Converse Chucks, partly because there was a high-top and a low-top version of the shoe.

Does Converse have any other sneakers besides the Chuck 70 High?
The answer to this question is yes. Of course, Converse's Chuck 70 Hi is one of the brand's most popular models, but it is far from being the only one. Converse also collaborated with another famous athlete of the time, in 1935 badminton star Jack Purcell designed a new shoe that bears his name and is also part of the brand's repertoire to this day. In 1976, they presented the Pro Leather, a high-top performance basketball shoe, which is still a popular fashion sneaker from Converse.

Converse Sneaker - From Punk to Fashion.
In 2003, Nike bought its competitor Converse for just under 300 million euros. Since then, popular sneaker models from Converse are also equipped with technologies from Nike. The Chuck 70 Hi especially in white, is and remains a best seller, but the thin sole was not known for comfort. With the technology Lunarlon developed by Nike, this had an end, because all Converse Chuck 70 models are equipped with the comfortable insole. For 100 years now, the Converse Chuck has existed in almost unchanged form. The legendary simple silhouette just invites you to use it for collaborations. High-end fashion labels such as Dior, Comme de Garcon or Ambush have designed the Chuck 70 by Converse in their own way, bringing it even more into the focus of fashion-conscious people. The Golf Le Fleur range by American rapper Tyler the Creator has also given a stage to more unknown models of the brand, such as the Converse Gianno.

Converse sneakers for women
Classics like the Converse Chuck Hi 70 are of course also available in women's sizes from us. In recent years, however, Converse has also managed to create special sneakers for women, which clearly bear the design of Converse. The great demand for sneakers with platform soles was perfectly beident with the Converse Run Star Hyke.
