Converse Chucks
In its more than 100-year history, the model is said to have sold 1 billion times. Generations of musicians, skateboarders and sneaker lovers appreciate the simple beauty of the Converse Chuck.
The Converse Chuck was designed in 1917 as a high-top basketball sneaker and was initially called the Converse All-Star. A certain Charles "Chuck" Taylor, who played basketball himself, contacted Converse with suggestions for improvement. In the 1920s, the model was renamed Converse Chuck Taylor, or simply Converse Chucks. The high shaft protected players' ankles and was given a round rubber patch, which has since adorned Chuck Taylor's autograph. In addition to the classic cotton canvas upper, you can also get the Converse All Star in leather or suede. For women, white Chucks are the most popular, while black Chucks are the most popular for men. For those who prefer low-tops, the Converse Chuck 70 Ox is the low-top version of the classic sneaker.
