The brand was founded by the artist Noah Butkis and Adam Weissmann. The latter was for many years the art director for streetwear icons like Stussy, Undefeated, and Union. It all started with the music label Real Bad Man, producing beats and releasing music. The bands and musicians then began to produce official merch, which was the cornerstone of the streetwear label. The artistic design and the rebellious attitude are the trademarks of Real Bad Man. The rather gloomy-sounding brand name is contrasted with cheerful retro graphics. With its references to pop culture, cartoons, and generally a penchant for the unconventional, Real Bad Man is an extremely exciting brand.
