24 Kilates was founded in Barcelona in 2005 and was the first-ever sneaker shop in Spain.
24 Kilates
The name of the shop and also the brand is the Spanish translation for carat. 24 Karat is the purest gold and compared to the financial possibilities that the two founders initially had, one may speak of irony here. After more than 15 years in the sneaker game, the founders closed their store in Barcelona and now focus on business in Asia. They already opened another store in Bangkok in 2016, which is now the heart of 24 Kilates. Besides the store and their fine sense for collaborations with almost every well-known sneaker brand, 24 Kilates has also founded a small but fine label. When it comes to 24 Kilates clothing, however, no experiments are made. Streetwear basics such as T-shirts, hoodies or shorts are mostly kept in black and contrast with multi-colored prints. But also allover prints, colored fabrics or motifs from Asian culture can be found in the collections of 24 Kilates' streetwear.
