Guess Originals
The family grew up in the south of France before moving to the US to live the American dream. In the beginning, Guess helped the Jeans to shine again. One of the first designs was a pair of stonewashed jeans with a slim fit and multiple zippers. Guess quickly became a symbol of a young and adventurous lifestyle. Different perceptions of the business below the brothers, led to changes. One settled and Guess was divided into several labels. Known to a wider audience, Guess became mainly through its advertising campaigns. In 1985, the ads were kept in black and white and models were booked, some of which subsequently made their breakthrough. Claudia Schiffer, Gisele Bündchen and Naomi Campbell, among others, modeled for Guess. The aesthetic of the images is unique and has therefore also received various design awards.
Over time, Guess has added other apparel to its collections besides denim. The designs are a mix of European chic and American casual. Besides Guess T-shirts, shirts and sweatshirts are of course still denim jeans an important part of the brand.
