Dillane is the son of an Irish fisherman and a Spanish artist. His mother in particular encouraged him to express his creativity through painting. Already at the tender age of 12 he produced self-printed T-shirts which he distributed among his friends. At university in New York, this story continued and from his room on campus, he conquered the streetwear world. One of the many people he met during his college years was rapper Mac Miller. On the cover of his second album, the musician wears a hat designed by KidSuper, and that was in 2010. After graduating from university, he focused only on his own label. He chose the name KidSuper to generate full attention. KidSuper describes not only the label, but also the maker behind it. He is also inspired by the freedom that one enjoys more as a child than as an adult. This free spirit he also wants to reflect in his collections and does not give much to the usual conventions of the fashion industry. The collections of Studio KidSuper are characterized by a pronounced artistic influence, which is expressed mainly through illustrations. Another aspect of the fashion of KidSuper: colors! There is probably hardly a second brand that is so colorful as KidSuper. Other features are patchwork styles and typos, which are distributed unconventionally on the clothing.
KidSuper x Puma
The collaboration of Kid Super and Puma, has given another boost to the brand. In addition, it was the first time that the designs from the studio KidSuper was also transferred to sneakers. Again, there were eye-catching colors, a wild mix of materials, patchwork aesthetics and deconstructed silhouettes to marvel at.
