Event Recap: Overkill for eastpak Resist'r Case

Eastpak is undoubtedly one of the most iconic brands for bags and backpacks, so we probably don't need to tell you that. With the launch of the Resist’r Case, Eastpak is introducing a hard-shell suitcase that certainly doesn’t need to hide behind other suitcases. Weeks before the official release, we had the opportunity to offer this series of luggage pieces early. This was reason enough for us to throw a party together with Eastpak to celebrate the occasion.

This time, we headed to Mitte, specifically to the event space TOR86 on Torstrasse. In line with Eastpak's official campaign, we transformed the location into a high-security facility, including a vault and a laser-protected exhibition area. In this area, three suitcases of different sizes were displayed, each adorned with illustrations by Munich artist Sebastian Schwamm. Not only did they look great, but they were also up for grabs that evening. Every attendee at the event received an Eastpak x Overkill Dollar at the entrance, with a serial number that could be entered at the control station of the laser installation. If the number was correct, the laser system shut down, and the participant won one of the suitcases. Spoiler: all three suitcases found new owners that evening. Those who weren't so lucky didn't leave empty-handed they received a consolation prize consisting of a tote bag with a Sebastian Schwamm design, filled with Eastpak goodies and a poster by the Munich artist (who also had some exclusive pieces on display).

But that’s not all. As always, no one went hungry or thirsty at this event. Our friends from Son Kitchen served up heir popular Korean street food, and with a few Krombacher beers or Proviant sodas, there were drinks on the house. Since it was summer, we also treated everyone to ice cream from California Pops.

The music was provided by the Overkill Soundsystem, featuring DJ JNS, Josiane, who played a B2B set with Leve, and as the main act, none other than the Adana Twins. Hundreds of people showed up (even Gramps was spotted) and had a great time. We look back on yet another successful event. See you next time!
